A small corner of paradise, located in one of the most beautiful districts of Ostuni
Being neighbours, we all know each other and together we enjoy the beauty and serenity of the Cinera district. Most of us have been handed down properties by our grandparents, however all newcomers have also been lovingly integrated into our community.
Booking a holiday at one of our lodgings means immersing yourself in an oasis of serenity in the heart of the Itria Valley within the boundaries of Ostuni, the famous “White City” just 9 km away.
Lamia dei Tramonti is surrounded by 22,000 hectares of land cultivated with olive, almond, fig, cherry and apricot trees as well plants which have been passionately taken care of by our family for generations.
Upon passing the gates, you will be greeted by an extraordinary panorama that changes depending on the season. You will be able to taste the fruits of the earth directly in front of your nose and be enchanted by the memorable sunsets that give our Lamia its name.
Our newly built swimming pool with hydromassage has specifically been designed to harmonise with the surrounding nature in order to maximise those moments of pure well-being for your body and soul.
The sunrises, the starry skies and the moon in all its glorious phases completes the perfect natural picture.
The Lamia consists of: 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, living room, kitchen, barbecue corner, patio and garden.
Also the furnishings have been specifically chosen with colours inspired by the earth, for example, forest green and corten for the fixtures which are reminiscent of our red earth, all in respect of and in harmony with the surrounding environment.
On our small estate with a trullo and a lamia you can relax by the pool, find a shady corner under the nearby pine or olive tree for a yoga session with your own mat, go for a solitary morning walk along a sheep track in the hope of spotting a fox or blackbird and ultimately be intoxicated by thousands of scents and colours.
But not only that: it is easy to practice Forest bathing, a Japanese technique known as Shinrin Yoku which is very widespread in the East, which allows you to combat stress by being in contact with nature, pausing under a tree, admiring its foliage, observing its leaves, flowers, shape, with awareness and immersing yourself in the surrounding environment. This awareness helps to achieve the feeling of calm and well-being.
I love growing plants, I think I have “green fingers” and already have a small garden at my home in Munich where I experiment and grow some species that I adore: peonies, hydrangeas, a splendid yellow magnolia and different types of wisteria.
The garden at Lamia dei Tramonti is very large and, therefore, professional attention was needed rather than experiments, so I decided to rely on Hayley Simmonds from Wild At Heart (search for her amongst my partners). I highly recommend her professionalism, humanity and patience.
The concept was beautiful, intense, exciting and when Hayley came to present the project to me it was truly an emotional moment. This is why we decided to include some of her sketches.
We can’t wait for spring to see the results of last year’s work. We will post photos!
Anna likes to practice hospitality!
Not just simple excursions, but widening horizons
Not only authentic excursions and immersions in nature, but also awakenings of the soul.
Being on holiday means not only enjoying moments of relaxation, but also discovering new realities. This is why, before the start of the stay, I always ask my guests what the nature of their holiday is. Do they prefer a regenerating break immersed in nature, or are they looking for activities to explore the area, its culture and traditions or interested in discovering local biodiversity?
Every trip, in my opinion, is an opportunity to admire the masterpieces of the place we are in. This is why I love to describe Lamia dei Tramonti as the sun: through its rays it is possible to discover the thousand fascinating places found nearby. In this way, places are transformed into poetry, and proposing a visit, is equivalent to offering an opportunity to widen one’s own personal, cultural, food and wine growth, more than a simple excursion.
We have begun a journey to obtain business certification from Green Destinations, a global non-profit organisation that sustains and supports destinations, their businesses and their communities.
The lamia: refuge and source of inner well-being which, surrounded by scents and colours, awaits you to pamper your soul! Book now!
